Responsible for the management of all employees in the effective planning and implementation of all store processes, including ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation, selling, staffing and support. The Store Manager will recruit, select and retain qualified employees, provide proper training, conduct performance evaluations, and make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement. They will also ensure the store is properly staffed and effectively opened and closed each day, personally opening the store a minimum of two times per week and closing the store a minimum of two times per week. The Store Manager will evaluate operating statements to identify business trends, expense control opportunities, potential shrink, and errors. They will order merchandise to meet or exceed in-stock targets, review ordering plans, seasonal direction, and inventory management issues weekly, and follow up on Basic Stock Replenishment (BSR)/cycle counts. Additionally, they will facilitate efficient staging, stocking, and storage of merchandise, ensure merchandise is presented according to established practices, and maintain accurate inventory levels by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork, and facility controls. The Store Manager is responsible for the financial integrity of the store through strict cashier accountability, key control, and adherence to stated company security practices and cash control procedures. They will provide superior customer service leadership, maintain a clean and well-organized store, and ensure a safe and secure working and shopping environment. The Store Manager will ensure the store is adequately equipped with necessary tools and will complete all paperwork and documentation according to guidelines and deadlines.
