About The Position

The Store Manager Trainee role prepares employees for future management opportunities at Rebel Convenience Stores. The trainee gains hands-on experience with store maintenance and operations, while developing technical and leadership skills. Responsibilities include learning to diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment such as pumps, dispensers, HVAC, refrigeration, lighting, and POS systems; developing skills in scheduling, task prioritization, project reporting, and team guidance; and helping ensure stores are safe, clean, and operating smoothly. The role also involves working with contractors, vendors, and team members to resolve maintenance issues, and attending company training programs locally and out of area. The position is hourly during training at $18.00 per hour; salary is offered once training is complete.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of MS Office.
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs, climb ladders, crawl into tight spaces, and work in all weather conditions.
Availability to be on-call for emergencies and flexibility to work various shifts.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to obtain a Class “B” UST System Operator Certification; training is provided.

Nice To Haves

Maintenance, trade (plumbing, electrical, or HVAC), or foodservice background preferred.
