This is a comprehensive, hands-on role with a focus on running a successful Colliflower store—from custom hose assembly and inventory management to customer problem-solving. Requirements

  • A proven ability to understand how mechanical systems work and a comfort level using hand and power tools (e.g., hose saws, crimping machine).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to clearly explain products and solutions to customers.
  • A high degree of reliability, integrity, and commitment to completing tasks accurately.
  • Proficient organizational skills to manage inventory, track transactions, and maintain a clean workspace.
  • Proficient math skills, including the ability to read and accurately interpret a tape measure, and a willingness to learn metric conversions.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external customer inquiries, providing timely, professional, and courteous service.
  • Diagnose and solve problems by identifying the correct product solution (e.g., hose, fitting, etc.) for the customer's specific needs.
  • Resolve customer issues professionally and quickly.
  • Actively participate in customer capture programs and provide potential sales leads to the Outside Sales Team.
  • Promote all company products and services to ensure customer needs are fully met.
  • Perform hands-on hose assembly and crimping to manufacturer’s precise specifications.
  • Actively engage in Colliflower’s internal training programs on your first day.
  • Be exposed to new learning opportunities to become a subject matter expert in the fluid power industry.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of inventory, including receiving deliveries, unpacking, stocking shelves, and maintaining professional product displays.
  • Assist the Store Manager with inventory tracking, cycle counts, and placing product orders.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and exceptionally clean store and workshop environment.
  • Support routine facility maintenance and waste/cost reduction efforts.
  • Accurately process all sales transactions.
  • Assist in recording and tracking transactions related to invoices, stock transfers, and inventory levels.
  • Consistently and accurately complete timecard and ensure the confidentiality and security of company intellectual property.
