The Store Manager in Training assists the store manager in areas of sales, appearance, and overall operations of the store. The objective is to provide hands-on training to prepare the individual for a management position in another store or future location. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. The role involves supervising both professional (delivery and installer service specialists) and retail (parts and merchandising specialists) operations and team members. This position works jointly with the district manager and store manager on various HR functions, communicates important information to team members, trains new team members, handles performance evaluations, and assists in the hiring process. The Manager in Training also supports the store manager in ensuring safety compliance and appropriate team member training, monitors safety expectations, makes sales calls, manages the delivery fleet, ensures store cleanliness, learns electronic scheduling and payroll, and monitors gross profit components, customer returns, competitive pricing, team member productivity, and reviews monthly P&L statements.
