About The Position

The Retail Store Manager II coordinates the daily operations of domestic retail stores ensuring consistent and efficient performance. Manages the team structure and day-to-day activities including onsite inventory management, process and procedure creation and enforcement.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum seven (7) years experience in a retail environment required.
  • Ability to foster teamwork and manage conflict within a small retail environment.
  • Proven ability to develop and mentor employees.
  • Advanced decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Seasoned customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a supervisory or lead capacity preferred.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basis.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees people management and operational performance in retail location, including talent planning, recruiting strategies, performance management, succession planning, and workforce scheduling.
  • Coaches and develops team to build strong leadership pipelines and consistent employee experience.
  • Manages the flow of product availability in store, ensuring minimum on hand levels align with sales targets and forecasts.
  • Considers trends, customer and staff feedback.
  • Establishes and monitors standardized receiving, returns, and pricing accuracy processes, ensuring timely execution, compliance with controls, and resolution of discrepancies impacting margin or customer experience.
  • Ensures consistent execution of visual merchandising and in store presentations, reinforcing alignment with standards set in visual merchandising manual.
  • Facilitates in-store corporate sales and promotional events, ensuring staff are informed of promotional priorities to drive sales and meet established KPIs.
  • Monitors digital platforms such as yelp and google for customer reviews on in-store experiences.
  • Responds to reviews and uses information to evaluate policies and procedures and maintain high service levels.
  • In charge of managing labor, supplies, travel, and events budgets for retail location.
  • In charge of ensuring that charges are coded to correct GL accounts.
  • Proactively assesses store operations, team performance, and customer experience within the store, providing insights and recommendations to support overall initiatives and continued improvements.
  • Translates store goals into daily action plans, adjusting priorities, schedules, and processes to meet operational and customer experience expectations.
  • Reviews individual and team performance against expectations, providing real-time coaching and guidance to maintain strong execution and accountability.
