About The Position

Warby Parker is seeking a motivated Store Leader to be a foundational part of its growing Retail business. Store Leaders are responsible for all aspects of their stores' success. In this role, you will build and lead a team of service-minded Managers, Opticians, and Advisors, focusing on executing processes and creating exceptional customer experiences. You will utilize your business acumen to guide your team towards achieving personal performance goals and meeting company financial targets. Opportunities for knowledge sharing and collaboration with peers will be available through an annual Store Leader Summit. Previous retail management experience and strong leadership skills are essential for success in this position.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in a management role at a complex customer-focused, operationally excellent retailer, with a track record of being a top-performer.
  • Ability to build, coach, and retain a high-performing team that meets sales, operational, and financial performance goals.
  • Clear, honest, and empathetic communication skills, with the ability to make tough decisions.
  • Organized, entrepreneurial, and willing to take calculated risks to deliver results.
  • Upbeat collaborator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Resourceful problem-solver and out-of-the-box thinker.
  • Curious and willing to question how things are done and how they could be done better.

Responsibilities

  • Represent and communicate Warby Parker's values and philosophy to customers and team members.
  • Execute and improve all operational activities to meet your store's financial targets and customer experience goals.
  • Consistently follow company-wide processes to maintain brand consistency.
  • Manage daily scheduling and payroll for the entire store team.
  • Coordinate store events with our Marketing team.
  • Implement existing procedures (and create new ones!) to protect the company's inventory and assets.
  • Follow and enforce protocols to ensure risk management and safety.
  • Build and foster an engaged, effective team through recruitment and on-boarding, as well as ongoing training and development.
  • Lead biannual performance and development reviews for each store team member.

  • Create an inclusive workplace culture by treating all teammates and customers with respect.
  • Attend company leadership trainings, including our annual Store Leader Summit.
