About The Position

The Store Leader is the heart and soul of the store and, together with one or more Assistant Store Leaders, forms the store’s leadership team. The role executes merchandising and marketing initiatives, drives profitability, develops the skills of the store team, and ensures customers receive good service. This is a Store Leader Trainee opportunity for someone with previous supervisory experience. 7-Eleven provides training and advancement opportunities through its promote-from-within philosophy.

Requirements

Previous supervisory experience.
Ability to provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching.
Ability to manage cash handling and fuel transactions.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient computer skills; Microsoft Word and Excel are preferred.
Valid driver's license from the state of residence and automotive liability insurance during employment.
Ability to multitask, perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required for candidates with at least one year of retail management experience.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching for all store employees.
Support employee retention by identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity.
Oversee and implement merchandising and marketing programs.
Use profit-and-loss information and store reports to drive change.
Manage cash handling and fuel transactions, and promote the rewards loyalty program.
Maintain a clean and safe store by following health and sanitation procedures and ensuring the store is presentable and products are in stock.
