About The Position
Ugly Bagel is hiring a Store General Manager to lead a shop and oversee its daily operations. The role is responsible for the store’s sales, labor, food costs, inventory, and profitability while maintaining product quality, food safety, cleanliness, and service standards. The General Manager hires, trains, and develops employees, builds schedules, orders products, manages vendors, and helps create relationships with the neighborhood. The position calls for a hands-on leader who can support the team on the line during busy periods and ensure guests receive friendly, efficient service across dine-in, takeout, online orders, and catering. The company offers daytime hours without late-night closes and room to grow with its expanding brand.
Requirements
- Some restaurant management experience.
- A track record of meeting sales, labor, and cost targets.
- A hands-on, steady, and fair leadership style, with willingness to work on the line during busy periods.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- ServSafe Manager certification, or ability to obtain it.
- Availability for early mornings and weekends.
- A sense of humor.

Responsibilities
- Manage store sales, labor, food costs, inventory, and profitability.
- Hire, train, and develop the store team.
- Maintain consistent product quality, including bagels, schmears, and coffee.
- Ensure fast, friendly guest service for dine-in, takeout, online orders, and catering.
- Oversee food safety, cleanliness, and opening and closing standards.
- Build schedules, order products, and handle vendor relationships.
- Build relationships with the neighborhood and encourage first-time guests to become regulars.
