The Store Event Host at Michaels is responsible for planning, coordinating, and facilitating various in-store events, including children's birthday parties, to ensure a fun, stress-free, and engaging experience for guests. This role involves delivering excellent customer service by assisting shoppers, providing fast and friendly checkout, and completing essential operational tasks such as truck unloading, merchandise handling, and maintaining store recovery standards. Key responsibilities include engaging with clients of all ages, demonstrating and instructing craft projects, performing face painting, and managing party add-ons according to company standards. The host will also handle administrative duties like emails, phone calls, and paperwork, adapt event plans based on client feedback, and ensure overall client satisfaction. Additionally, the position supports omnichannel processes (BOPIS, SFS), participates in stocking and planogram execution, performs inventory optimization, and adheres to company safety and operational procedures. Cross-training in Custom Framing and contributing to daily store cleanliness are also part of the role.
