About The Position

The Store Environmental Team Member is responsible for maintaining a high standard of the store's overall look and feel, including cleanliness and recovery standards, to deliver on Brand Promises. This role involves providing friendly customer service, assisting customers in finding products, and performing cleaning duties according to approved procedures. The team member will also deep clean key areas of the store, manage cleaning equipment, and ensure tasks are completed in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines. Maintaining positive interactions with team members and customers, and projecting a positive image are also key aspects of this role. Additional duties may include providing a fast and friendly checkout experience, executing cash handling, promoting the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, assisting with Omni channel processes, participating in truck unloads and stocking, and supporting shrink and safety programs. Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs is required.

Requirements

  • Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to move throughout the store.
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching.
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
  • Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies.

  • Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain store cleanliness and recovery standards.
  • Provide friendly customer service and assist customers.
  • Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
  • Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
  • Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and return products to correct placement.
  • Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment.
  • Mix water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions.
  • Deep clean key areas of the store (bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, high traffic areas).
  • Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly.
  • Notify supervisor of supply needs.
  • Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative.
  • Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
  • Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
  • Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers.
  • Project a positive image and serve as a role model.
  • Provide a fast and friendly check out experience.
  • Execute cash handling to standards.
  • Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
  • Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
  • Participate in truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
  • Support shrink and safety programs.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.
