About The Position

The Store Environment Team member is responsible for maintaining a high standard of the store's overall look and feel, including cleanliness and recovery standards, to deliver on Brand Promises. This role involves delivering friendly customer service, assisting customers in navigating the store, and locating desired items. The position also includes collecting and disposing of trash, dusting and mopping floors, moving equipment and products for cleaning, and preparing cleaning solutions. Deep cleaning of key areas such as bathrooms, breakrooms, and entryways is a core responsibility to ensure a clean and safe environment for both customers and staff. The team member must maintain cleaning equipment, notify supervisors of supply needs, and proactively identify and address areas requiring cleaning. All tasks are to be completed in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines. Maintaining positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers, projecting a positive image, and serving as a role model are essential. Additional duties may include providing a fast and friendly checkout experience, executing cash handling, engaging customers about the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, assisting with Omni channel processes (BOPIS, Ship from Store), participating in truck un-loads, stocking, and planogram processes, and supporting shrink and safety programs. Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs is required for compliance with applicable laws and requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to move throughout the store.
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching.
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
  • Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies.
  • Applicants in the U.S. must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job.

Responsibilities

  • Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative.
  • Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
  • Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
  • Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers.
  • Project a positive image and serve as a role model.
  • Provide a fast and friendly check out experience.
  • Execute cash handling to standards.
  • Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
  • Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
  • Participate in the truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
