About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining a high standard of the store's overall look and feel, including cleanliness and recovery standards, to deliver on Brand Promises. The team member will provide friendly customer service, assist customers in navigating the store, and help them find desired products. Key duties involve managing trash and floor cleaning according to approved procedures, moving equipment and products for cleaning, and ensuring products are returned to their correct locations. The position requires cleaning assigned areas using specified materials and equipment, potentially mixing cleaning solutions. It also involves deep cleaning of high-traffic areas such as bathrooms and breakrooms to ensure a clean and safe environment for both customers and staff. The team member must maintain cleaning equipment, report supply needs, and proactively identify and address areas requiring cleaning. All tasks must be completed in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines. Maintaining positive and respectful interactions with colleagues and customers is essential, serving as a role model and projecting a positive image. Additional duties may include providing efficient checkout experiences, handling cash according to standards, promoting and enrolling customers in the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, assisting with omnichannel processes like Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS), participating in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes, and supporting safety and shrink programs. Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs is required to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.

Requirements

Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.
Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
Ability to move throughout the store.
Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching.
Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies.
Applicants in the U.S. must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job.
Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.

Responsibilities

Maintain store cleanliness and recovery standards.
Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers.
Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and place products back in correct placement.
Clean assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment.
Deep clean key areas of the store including bathrooms, breakrooms, entry ways and other high traffic areas.
Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly and notify supervisor of supply needs.
Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the task.
Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers.
Project a positive image and serve as a role model.
Provide a fast and friendly check out experience.
Execute cash handling to standards.
Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
Participate in the truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
Support shrink and safety programs.
Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.
