About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining a high standard of the store's overall look and feel, including cleanliness and recovery standards to deliver Brand Promises. The position involves delivering friendly customer service, assisting customers in shopping, and collecting and disposing of trash. Responsibilities include dusting and damp mopping floors, moving equipment and products for proper cleaning, and cleaning assigned areas with provided materials and equipment. This may involve mixing cleaning solutions. The role requires deep cleaning of key areas such as bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, and high-traffic areas to ensure a clean and safe environment for customers and staff. The team member must keep cleaning equipment neat, notify supervisors of supply needs, and take initiative to identify and complete cleaning tasks. All tasks must be completed as assigned by the supervisor and in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines. Maintaining positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers, even in difficult situations, is crucial, aligning with the organization's vision and values. The role also requires projecting a positive image and serving as a role model. Additional duties may include providing a fast and friendly checkout experience, executing cash handling, engaging customers about the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, assisting with Omni channel processes (BOPIS, SFS), participating in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes, and supporting shrink and safety programs. Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs is necessary for compliance with laws and requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.
  • Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, including cleanliness and recovery standards.
  • Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers in shopping.
  • Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
  • Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
  • Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and place products back in correct placement.
  • Clean assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment.
  • Deep clean key areas of the store including bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways and other high traffic areas.
  • Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly and notify supervisor of supply needs.
  • Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the task.
  • Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
  • Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
  • Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers.
  • Project a positive image and serve as a role model.
  • Provide a fast and friendly check out experience.
  • Execute cash handling to standards.
  • Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
  • Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
  • Participate in the truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
  • Support shrink and safety programs.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
