About The Position

Join Kwik Trip, Inc.’s Store Engineering Department as a Delivery Driver where you will be responsible for the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of equipment/fixtures and materials from vendors and Kwik Trip retail locations. This person will also work in the Store Engineering Warehouse where he/she will: Load and unload warehouse supplies and equipment Verify purchase order requests and track warehouse inventory items Operate forklifts and comply with all OSHA and DOT safety requirements Maintain log books and vehicle inspection reports Work closely with several Kwik Trip Departments Assist with the organization and upkeep of the Store Engineering Warehouse. Work Schedule: Typically Monday through Friday, daytime hours; however, it may include occasional evenings and weekends. It may also include occasional overnight stays.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL with a good driving record.
  • Prior commercial driving experience is required.
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and operation to identify and diagnose potential mechanical challenges.
  • Ability to operate a piggyback lift to load/unload trucks.
  • Familiarity with the surrounding area to facilitate timely pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service as this person has primary interaction with retail locations.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Understand and accurately complete invoice paperwork.
  • Self-motivated and a team player.
  • Willingness to learn/perform a variety of job tasks.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment within company guidelines.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Work in a fast-paced safety conscious environment.
  • Willingness to work in all temperature conditions.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and ability to operate a personal computer.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn Maximo.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must live or relocate to the La Crosse, WI area.
  • Sit up to 6 hours at a time.
  • Stand up to 2 hours at a time.
  • Bend/reach/twist/stoop/squat frequently.
  • Lift up to 75 pounds to waist level occasionally.
  • Lift up to 70 pounds to 60 inches occasionally.
  • Lift up to 40 pounds to 72 inches frequently.
  • Carry 90 pounds occasionally.
  • Push/pull up to 100 pounds of force occasionally.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous warehouse and forklift experience is a plus.
