About The Position

This role is responsible for picking, staging, and safely delivering parts to pro customers. The driver will also pick up returns and cores, drop off sales flyers, and collect credit accounts. A key aspect of the role is building and maintaining relationships with customers, providing insights to the store, and assisting with upselling and cross-selling products. Additionally, the driver will contribute to maintaining store cleanliness, general stocking, and assisting customers with their parts and service needs.

  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals
  • Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings and weekends as needed
  • Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
  • Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will predominantly be walking or standing.
  • The employee is required to be able to talk and hear, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers
  • Pick up returns and cores
  • Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
  • Daily collection of credit accounts
  • Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing the CPP with insights learned while making deliveries
  • Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
  • Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot
  • General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts
  • Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
  • Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
  • Other duties as assigned
