Store Driver
About The Position
The Store Driver picks, stages, and safely delivers parts to professional customers, collects returns and cores, and distributes sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs. The role also includes collecting credit accounts, building relationships with customers, assisting with sales through upselling and cross-selling, and sharing delivery-related customer insights with the CPP. Store support duties include maintaining cleanliness, stocking and counting inventory, learning about products and new arrivals, and assisting walk-in customers with parts and service recommendations.
Requirements
- Speak and write English and communicate effectively; Spanish is a plus.
- Build strong relationships with customers, peers, and leadership.
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
- Use basic math accurately, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Be able to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
- Engage customers confidently and promote products.
- Be willing to learn about new products and sales techniques.
- Have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Meet the physical demands of the role, including frequently lifting or moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Nice To Haves
- Automotive parts experience is preferred.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Pick, stage, and safely deliver parts to pro customers.
- Pick up returns and cores.
- Deliver weekly and monthly sales flyers and promote current sales and loyalty programs.
- Collect credit accounts daily.
- Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers and provide the CPP with insights gathered during deliveries.
- Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value.
- Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and the parking lot.
- Perform general stocking, including truck stocking, back stock, and cycle counts.
- Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales.
- Engage walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
