About The Position

Advance Auto Parts is a leading automotive aftermarket parts provider. We are seeking a Store Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for picking, staging, and safely delivering parts to our professional customers. You will also handle customer returns and cores, promote current sales and loyalty programs, and collect credit accounts. Building and maintaining strong relationships with our pro customers is key, as you will provide insights learned during deliveries. You will also assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value. Maintaining store cleanliness, general stocking, and staying knowledgeable about product inventory and new arrivals are also important aspects of this position. You will engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to use delivery board system
• Friendly and persuasive communication
• Ability to locate and stock parts
• Safety knowledge and skills
• Operating inventory systems (Back stock) and store equipment
• Sales aptitude and customer service orientation
• Ability to identify customer needs and recommend solutions
• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers and leadership
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals
• Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings and weekends as needed
• Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
• Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques
• Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

• Automotive parts experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers
• Pick up returns and cores
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
• Daily collection of credit accounts
• Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing the CPP with insights learned while making deliveries
• Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot
• General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts
• Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
• Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
• Other duties as assigned
