About The Position

This role is responsible for picking, staging, and safely delivering parts to professional customers. The driver will also pick up returns and cores, and distribute sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs. Daily collection of credit accounts and building relationships with key customers are also important aspects of this position. The role involves assisting in upselling and cross-selling products, maintaining store cleanliness, general stocking, and staying knowledgeable about product inventory and new arrivals. The driver will also engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Safe driving and navigation ability
Ability to use delivery board system
Friendly and persuasive communication
Ability to locate and stock parts
Safety knowledge and skills
Operating inventory systems (Back stock) and store equipment
Sales aptitude and customer service orientation
Ability to identify customer needs and recommend solutions
Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers and leadership
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals
Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings and weekends as needed
Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques
Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be able to talk and hear, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers
Pick up returns and cores
Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
Daily collection of credit accounts
Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing the CPP with insights learned while making deliveries
Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot
General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts
Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
Other duties as assigned
