Store Driver
About The Position
The Store Driver is responsible for picking, staging, and safely delivering parts to professional customers. They will also pick up returns and cores, and drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs. The role involves daily collection of credit accounts and building/maintaining relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers. The driver will assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value. Additionally, the position requires maintaining store cleanliness, general stocking, and staying knowledgeable about product inventory and new arrivals. The driver will also engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Safe driving and navigation ability

- Safety knowledge and skills
- Operating inventory systems (Back stock) and store equipment
- Sales aptitude and customer service orientation
- Ability to identify customer needs and recommend solutions
- Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers and leadership
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals
- Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings and weekends as needed
- Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
- Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques
- Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

- Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
- Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot
- General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts
- Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
- Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
- Other duties as assigned
