About The Position

Grocery Services South, LLC, is a trusted retail partner contracted by the Texas State Health Department, specializing in the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) supplemental food program. We proudly serve the Greater Brownsville Area and El Paso under our Grocery Services South, LLC branch. We’re looking for a motivated and customer-focused Store Clerk to join our team at our new Port Arthur location. Requirements

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish (preferred)
  • Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to take initiative
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while providing outstanding customer service

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous retail or store clerk experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Order merchandise from our warehouse or suppliers based on inventory levels and customer demand.
  • Check product levels, expiration dates, and rotate stock.
  • Occasionally, conduct physical inventories.
  • Provide exceptional customer service at the checkout counter, assisting customers with their product selections and processing payments via cash, SNAP, or WIC cards.
  • Unpack, stock, and organize shelves, racks, and bins with new merchandise to ensure a well-stocked and visually appealing store.
  • Maintain cleanliness by routinely cleaning counters, shelves, floors, and bathrooms to ensure a safe and welcoming shopping environment.
  • Assist the store manager and other team members with any other duties or tasks needed to ensure the smooth operation of the store.
