About The Position

Avesta Housing is seeking a friendly and service-oriented Store Clerk to oversee the day-to-day operations of our general store and deli at 75 State Street. In this hands-on role, you’ll prepare and stock food items, manage inventory and cash transactions, maintain a clean and organized store environment, and provide outstanding service to residents, visitors, and staff. You’ll work closely with the dining team to ensure products are available and operations run efficiently, while helping create a welcoming atmosphere that enhances residents’ daily experience. Requirements

• Excellent judgment
• Good communications skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to meet facility and state immunization requirements
• One year of cooking experience, preferably in a health care setting.
• Sanitation course certification preferred.
• Under the overall direction of the Executive Chef, must be able to work independently.
• Good communication skills and ability to interact with people effectively.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and stressful situations.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle.
