Ability to operate a computerized cash register
Ability to handle cash, credit cards, and checks accurately
Ability to stock shelves and coolers
Ability to clean and maintain store areas
Ability to perform deli and/or maintenance duties
Ability to advise the store manager of any situations or policy violations

Responsibilities

Providing excellent customer service, cash handling and accounting, stocking, pricing, rotating, and displaying merchandise, store safety and store security, and deli food sales.
Operate computerized cash register, give correct change, scan credit cards, accept and process checks, and bag merchandise.
Learn regular customers’ names and faces, answer and screen phone calls, police the store, detect shoplifters, and listen to and handle customer complaints.
Stock shelves and coolers, complete accurate and effective completion of shift duties, clean and maintain all areas of the store, complete vendor check-in procedures, complete the protocol system and “drive off” controls, and advise the store manager of any situations or policy violations that have an adverse effect on store operating performance.
Keep the hot dog roller, nacho and popcorn machines, condiment center, coffee, and fountain dispenser areas clean, filled, and stocked.
Perform deli and/or maintenance duties periodically, such as sweeping the lot, shoveling snow, cleaning gas pumps, filling water/cleaning solution buckets on islands, and completing any other duties assigned by management.
