This position is responsible for assisting store customers in donating, selecting, and purchasing store items, operating and maintaining a cash register, responding to customer’s questions, and maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of store displays. The role also involves preparing, processing, and maintaining various sales records, tax forms, and social service vouchers, and preparing routine sales reports. Additionally, the position is responsible for receiving, sorting, pricing, and preparing donated items for display, determining suitability and pricing of items based on established standards, and maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse area. The Store Clerk & Sorter will tag items with specially coded tickets and/or prices in accordance with established procedures.
