About The Position

Town Pump is looking for a motivated and outgoing Store Clerk and Store Maintenance Team Member to join our team. Town Pump is a growing company, with ever-increasing opportunities for career growth. This is a Full-Time position that combines both Store Clerk and Store Maintenance duties.

Ability to stock, price, rotate, and display merchandise.
Ability to perform housekeeping inside and outside the store.
Awareness of store safety and security.
Ability to handle deli food sales and cooking.
Ability to operate computerized cash register, give correct change, scan credit cards, accept and process checks, and bag merchandise.
Ability to remember regular customers’ names and faces, answer and screen phone calls, police the store, detect shoplifters, and listen to and handle customer complaints.
Ability to stock shelves and coolers.
Ability to complete accurate and effective completion of shift work.
Ability to clean and maintain all areas of the store.
Ability to complete vendor check-in procedures.
Ability to complete the protocol system and “drive off” controls.
Ability to advise the store manager of any situations or policy violations having an adverse effect on store operating performance.
Ability to sweep the lot, shovel snow, clean gas pumps, fill water/cleaning solution buckets on islands, and complete any other duties assigned by management.
Ability to keep the hot dog roller, nacho and popcorn machines, condiment center, coffee, and fountain dispenser areas clean, filled, and stocked.
Ability to perform all deli duties in smaller locations as described in the deli job description.
Ability to perform repairs, grease, clean, and test fuel pumps, and associated equipment including refrigeration, HVAC systems, and control systems.
Ability to practice safe procedures in repairs and tool handling while wearing protective clothing and other necessary personal protective equipment.
Ability to clean and paint buildings, sidewalks, fuel islands, etc.
Ability to handle building and property upkeep to include landscaping and trash and snow removal.
Ability to maintain use or repair books, safety manuals, duty logs, pump inspections, and electrical schematics.
Ability to maintain lights to included lamp and ballast replacement.
Commitment to keep the store running and come in as needed.
Ability to interact with the public providing exceptional customer service.
Ability to assist clerks or managers as needed.
