About The Position

TJ Maxx is seeking a Part Time Store Cleaner responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment with a focus on floor care. This role involves operating cleaning equipment, performing various cleaning tasks, and adhering to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards. The position also requires cross-training in other store areas to support business needs and embodying a positive store culture. Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills
• Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and run floor buffer and scrubber
• Capable of multi-tasking
• Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
• Strong communication skills: verbal and written. Listens and responds appropriately
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation
• Working effectively with peers and supervisors

Responsibilities

• Operation of the scrubber and buffer
• Dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows
• Adherence to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards
• Cross-training to work in multiple areas of the store
• Role modeling established customer experience practices
• Supporting and embodying a positive store culture
• Maintaining all floor care cleanliness standards
• Maintaining all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the entire store (Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms)
• Adherence to all company policies concerning Health and Safety
• Cross-training in other areas of the store (Backroom, Front End, Sales Floor, etc.)
• Supporting and responding to all Front End coverage needs
• Adherence and upholding merchandising philosophy and signage standards
• Initiating and participating in store recovery as needed
• Adherence to all operational and loss prevention controls
• Communicating accurately and effectively with management and Associates
• Adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Participating in safety awareness and maintaining a safe environment
• Other duties as assigned
