Store Cleaner Part-time Mornings
About The Position
The Store Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating a scrubber and buffer; dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot-cleaning glass and windows. The employee follows operational, merchandise, loss-prevention, health, and safety standards and is cross-trained to work in multiple store areas to support business needs. The position supports customer experience and a positive store culture, maintains cleanliness and recovery standards throughout the store, helps meet Front End coverage needs, and communicates effectively with management and Associates. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Excellent customer-service skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
- Ability to multitask and respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including listening and responding appropriately.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities
- Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards across the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, Restrooms, and other store areas.
- Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
- Work cross-trained in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
- Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
- Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company guidelines, including shrink-reduction practices.
- Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
- Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Model customer-experience practices with internal and external customers and support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
