About The Position

Fireside Market is seeking a part-time Store Cashier for their Crandon location. This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating the cash register, handling cash and making change, receiving and restocking merchandise, maintaining product displays, ensuring a safe and clean work environment, and checking in vendor deliveries.

Requirements

• Three months' related experience in cash handling, cashiering preferred.
• Ability to successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Must obtain WI Class and WI Tobacco Check certificate prior to the first scheduled shift on the cash register.
• Excellent people skills.
• Availability to work flexible shifts and extended hours.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Knowledge of basic cash management procedures.
• Knowledge of retail floor sales techniques.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety practices.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Knowledge of store products.
• Knowledge of POS systems and processes.
• Ability to communicate effectively in the English language both verbally and in-writing.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lead, train and establish a high level of customer service within the department.

Nice To Haves

• Valid WI driver's license.
• Merchandising skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and positive manner.
• Provide best-in-class customer service, answering questions and resolving complaints.
• Operate the cash register, handle cash, and make change.
• Receive merchandise and restock shelves, coolers, and freezer items.
• Display merchandise according to policies and standards.
• Follow all safety rules and maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform general housekeeping and maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior of the store.
• Perform general snow removal as needed.
• Check in vendor deliveries.
