About The Position

The Store C Manager position is a full-time role responsible for the overall operations of a Circle K store. This includes leading a team of employees, managing store appearance and inventory, ensuring excellent customer service, and analyzing financial performance to maximize sales and profits. The role requires a strong focus on leadership, communication, organization, and financial acumen, with a commitment to upholding company standards and fostering a positive work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 to 2 years of retail work experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
  • Ability to supervise and train for the use of equipment, tools, and materials listed in the Customer Service Representative (CSR), Lead CSR (LSR), and Store Assistant (SA) job descriptions.
  • Ability to supervise and manage the functions listed in the CSR, LSR, and SA job descriptions.
  • Ability to use a computer or acquire necessary skills for store computer use, including report completion and analysis, inventory control, cash control, and employment-related forms.
  • A valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
  • Ability to have open availability.
  • Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in English.
  • Ability to perform essential duties and physical functions.
  • Ability to work in the described conditions.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Food Server certificate (e.g. ServSafe) and Food Safety Management certification may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises the activities of 2 or more full-time employees, including Assistant Managers, Lead Representatives, and Customer Service Representatives.
  • Recruits, hires, and trains employees, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Develops, manages, and assigns tasks to ensure the store is clean, adequately stocked, organized, and well-kept according to Company standards.
  • Maintains a professional and supportive image among subordinates and supervisor.
  • Schedules employees within Company guidelines and to meet business needs to maximize customer service and maintain store image.
  • Implements non-discriminatory management practices in hiring, training, counseling, mentoring, motivating, and separating employees.
  • Develops positive and professional relationships with all suppliers.
  • Promotes excellent service and resolves customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provides regular and predictable on-site attendance.
  • Promotes and ensures a safe, positive public image within the neighboring community.
  • Prepares timely performance appraisals for all employees, including check-ins and ongoing evaluations.
  • Trains all employees to ensure customer service, store image, and marketing execution meet Company standards.
  • Trains all employees on safety procedures and promotes safety awareness.
  • Mentors and trains employees on cash handling and expectations to reduce risk.
  • Ensures employees complete all required training in a timely manner.
  • Develops methods to ensure all employees receive proper communication in a timely manner.
  • Establishes periodic communication meetings with all store employees and the Market Manager.
  • Evaluates and develops specific action plans to address store needs and achieve objectives.
  • Organizes and maintains all store files and manuals.
  • Manages and supervises store employees to ensure accurate and timely completion of required reports.
  • Manages and supervises store employees to ensure all merchandise is stocked, attractively displayed, and priced correctly.
  • Ensures all required employment-related posters and signs are in easily accessible locations.
  • Analyzes daily sales and expense information and takes appropriate action to maximize sales and net profits.
  • Budgets and forecasts P&L lines, and understands and manages merchandise margins.
  • Safeguards and accounts for all money received and disbursed.
  • Performs other financial analysis necessary to maximize sales and net profits.
  • Notifies Market Manager of any sales, cash, inventory, or operating discrepancies.
