The Store Assistant Manager position is a full-time role with flexible shift availability, including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends. This role involves providing excellent customer service, maintaining facility condition, managing merchandising, ensuring sales and financial controls, overseeing staff, and maintaining security. The Assistant Manager will perform duties of Customer Service Representatives and Lead CSRs, assist with employee counseling, and implement non-discriminatory management practices. They will also assist the Store Manager in maintaining a safe environment and protecting company assets. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 6 months to 1 year of retail and management experience, and knowledge of basic business and customer service principles. The role demands strong communication, problem-solving, and operational skills, including the ability to work independently and as scheduled. Physical requirements include the ability to work in various temperature extremes, lift and carry items, grasp and manipulate objects, push/pull, reach overhead, bend, twist, stand/walk for an entire shift, and potentially climb a ladder. The work environment is primarily indoors but includes outdoor tasks, exposure to temperature extremes, and occasional noise, with periodic supervision.
