About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and help advance CVS Health’s health care mission. The role provides customer service, performs cashier duties, maintains the sales floor and inventory, supports store operations, and assists other departments, including photo, beauty, and pharmacy. Associates may work regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to use a computer terminal, read, and inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and differentiated service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, check, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide support to all departments, including photo and beauty, keeping them stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
