About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers and contribute to their health care experience. The role provides customer service, performs cashier duties, maintains the sales floor and inventory, supports store operations and helps keep departments operational. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel and work pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
Close visual acuity to use a computer terminal, read, and visually inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and differentiated service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
Perform cashier duties, including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support opening and closing activities when needed.
Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are fully stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career development opportunities.
Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
