About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s health care services. The role involves providing attentive customer service, handling transactions, maintaining store merchandise and inventory, assisting with store operations, and supporting other departments, including the pharmacy when needed. This is a part-time position with 24 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to use a computer terminal and perform reading and visual inspection involving small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, demonstrating compassion and care, and identifying and resolving potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, check, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, keeping them stocked and operational and staying current with services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health.
