About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, helping customers and supporting store operations. The role includes providing compassionate customer service, cashiering, maintaining the sales floor, and supporting store departments such as photo and beauty. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel and work regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development. The position is full-time, with 40 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
Ability to exert up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and differentiated service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items when needed.
Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
Support all departments, including photo and beauty, keeping them stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career development opportunities.
Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
