About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s health care services. The role involves providing helpful, compassionate customer service, maintaining store operations and merchandise, assisting other departments, and supporting pharmacy personnel when needed. Associates also promote CVS services and loyalty programs.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to meet the stated physical requirements, including sustained standing, lifting and exerting force, and close visual acuity.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions accurately while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, and help keep departments stocked and operational while staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health.
• Remain upright for sustained periods.
• Lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Use close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.
