About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customer needs and contribute to CVS Health’s goal of helping people on their path to better health. The position provides customer service, performs cashier duties, maintains the sales floor, supports store operations and assists other departments, including pharmacy when needed. The role is part-time, with 29 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to use a computer terminal and perform reading and visual inspection involving small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, demonstrating compassion and care, and identifying and resolving potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items when needed.
• Perform cashier duties, including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions accurately and following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support opening and closing store activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are fully stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health.
