About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ needs and CVS Health’s health care services. The role provides welcoming, compassionate service, completes cashier and sales-floor tasks, supports store operations, and helps keep departments stocked and operational. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel, including through regular pharmacy shifts, as opportunities for growth and career development arise.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and visually inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing, and complete inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide support to departments including photo and beauty, ensuring they are stocked and operational and staying current on updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as opportunities for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
