About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ needs and CVS Health’s health and wellness services. The role includes providing welcoming, compassionate customer service; processing transactions; maintaining store merchandise and inventory; supporting store operations; assisting departments such as photo and beauty; and, when needed, helping pharmacy personnel. The position is part-time, with 20 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and attentive service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items.
• Accurately process cash, check, and credit card transactions according to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating prices, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current on updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
