About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, helping customers and supporting store operations. The role provides an opportunity to contribute to CVS Health’s customer and health services, including supporting pharmacy personnel when needed and promoting CVS services and loyalty programs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to use a computer terminal and read or inspect small parts and details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive customer service by anticipating customer needs, showing care in interactions, and identifying and resolving potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health.
