About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and help meet their healthcare and shopping needs. The role provides attentive, compassionate service and supports store operations across departments, including photo, beauty, and pharmacy. Associates may work regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development. This is a part-time position with an anticipated 29 hours per week.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
Remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
Lift and exert up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
Have close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and visually inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer assistance locating items.
Perform cashier duties accurately, handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions according to company policies and procedures.
Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by ensuring they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career development opportunities.
Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
