About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customer needs and CVS Health’s healthcare and service offerings. The role provides customer service, performs cashier duties, maintains the sales floor and inventory, supports store opening and closing activities, and helps other departments stay stocked and operational. Associates may assist pharmacy personnel and work regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development. This is a part-time position with 20 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and attentive service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help them locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to departments including photo and beauty, keeping them stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
