About The Position

As a part-time Retail Store Associate at Office Depot, you help create positive shopping experiences and drive sales by engaging customers and recommending products, services, and solutions. The role supports a customer-centric environment and local community engagement, contributes to a positive culture aligned with Office Depot’s 5C values, and helps maintain store visual and merchandising standards as well as freight and logistics activities. Associates receive training in technology and print products and services to assist customers effectively.

The position supports store success through sales and exceptional service, particularly in Print and Technology, while helping maintain operational excellence. Essential functions may require consent to periodic comprehensive background checks conducted by a third party. Coworkers are expected to support a safe and healthy work environment by working safely and addressing potential hazards or concerns. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills, including the ability to use technology to access and input job-related information.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with clients and associates.
• Ability to read, write, and count accurately to complete documentation, use training tools, and process inventory.
• Client-focused, positive, engaging, and action-oriented approach, with passion for the brand, products, services, and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Proactively acknowledge and engage customers to support a positive customer-centric experience.
• Use the selling program to recommend the best solutions and promote additional products and services.
• Stay aware of advertisements, promotions, sales, and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the store and print department according to company appearance guidelines, keeping areas neat, clean, and well stocked.
• Follow standards for signage, labeling, and merchandise presentation.
• Follow sorting and stocking guidelines and complete freight processes.
• Keep the freight sorting area organized and set up according to guidelines.
• Scan, investigate, and replenish inventory lows and outs daily.
• Develop selling skills and product knowledge through sales and service tools and complete applicable Tech, Print, and other training.
• Continue education in relevant areas, including designated certifications if required.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and practices and support loss prevention efforts.
• Work safely and address potential hazards or concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
