About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers and help meet their healthcare-related needs. The role involves delivering attentive service, completing cashier duties, maintaining the sales floor and inventory, supporting store operations, and assisting other departments, including the pharmacy when needed. Associates also promote CVS services and loyalty programs.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
Lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items.
Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
