About The Position

The Store Associate provides customer-focused service in a retail setting, working independently and as part of a team to support customers’ needs and CVS Health’s healthcare services. The role involves cashiering, maintaining the sales floor, supporting store operations, assisting departments such as photo and beauty, and, when needed, supporting pharmacy personnel. Associates also promote CVS services and loyalty programs. This is a part-time position with an anticipated schedule of 20 hours per week.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and visually inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Perform cashier duties accurately, including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, and help ensure departments are stocked and operational.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
