About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s health and wellness services. The role provides differentiated, compassionate customer service; performs cashier duties; maintains the sales floor and inventory; supports store opening and closing activities; and helps keep departments such as photo and beauty stocked and operational. The associate may also assist pharmacy personnel, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy, and promote CVS services and loyalty programs.

The position is part-time, with 20 anticipated weekly hours. The typical pay range is $16.00–$23.00 per hour. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required. Applicants must be at least 16 years old.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to exert up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, and help ensure departments are stocked and operational while staying current with services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as opportunities for growth and career development.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
