About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ needs and CVS Health’s healthcare services. The role provides helpful, compassionate service; supports store operations and inventory; assists across departments, including photo and beauty; and may assist pharmacy personnel and work regular pharmacy shifts as opportunities for growth and career development.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and perform visual inspections involving small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer assistance locating items.
• Perform cashier duties accurately, handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions according to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by keeping them stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as opportunities for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
