About The Position

Retail Store Associates at CVS Health help provide a convenient, compassionate health and retail experience. This customer-focused role involves working independently and as part of a team to support customers and store operations. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel, including through regular pharmacy shifts as opportunities for growth and career development arise.

This is a part-time position with anticipated weekly hours of 29. The typical pay range is $15.00–$18.00 per hour. The role is eligible for a range of benefits and programs, depending on hours worked and eligibility, including dental and vision coverage, wellness resources, employee discounts, access to certain voluntary benefits, and other programs.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, showing compassion and care, and identifying and resolving potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items when needed.
• Perform cashier duties accurately, handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Promote new CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
