About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health. The role involves providing attentive, compassionate service; operating the register; maintaining the sales floor and inventory; supporting store opening and closing; and assisting departments such as photo, beauty, and pharmacy. Associates also promote CVS services and loyalty programs.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
Ability to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
Close visual acuity to view computer terminals, read, and visually inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items.
Accurately process cash, check, and credit-card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing, and complete inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by keeping them stocked and operational and staying current with services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development.
Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
