About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s health care services. The role involves providing compassionate service, completing cashier duties, maintaining the sales floor and inventory, supporting store operations, assisting other departments and, when needed, pharmacy personnel. The position is part-time, with 20 anticipated weekly hours. The typical pay range is $15.00–$18.00 per hour; the actual offer depends on factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact and offer help locating items.
• Accurately handle cash, checks and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information and complete inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping keep them stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
