About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s healthcare services. The role helps maintain store operations and positively impact customers through attentive service, accurate transactions, stocking and inventory tasks, and support for store departments and pharmacy personnel.

The position is part-time, with 16 anticipated weekly hours. The stated typical pay range is $16.90–$23.90. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Requirements

• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Occasionally lift or exert up to 35 lbs of force, frequently up to 10 lbs, and regularly a negligible amount of force to move objects, including overhead lifting.
• Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, demonstrating compassion and care, and identifying and resolving potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items as needed.
• Accurately handle cash, check, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, to ensure they are stocked and operational, and stay current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
