About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers and help meet their healthcare and retail needs. The role involves providing attentive service, operating the register, maintaining store inventory and sales-floor readiness, supporting store opening and closing activities, and assisting departments including photo, beauty, and pharmacy when needed. Associates also promote CVS services and loyalty programs.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Ability to remain upright on one’s feet for sustained periods.
Ability to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
Accurately process cash, check, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
Support all departments, including photo and beauty, ensuring they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development.
Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health.
